"I do believe that Hans Zimmer is in fact one of the most talented composers in film today. An understatment?Yes.But I believe that gushing over with praise worthy of the Son Of God Himself has already been covered by others who have visited the page before me."Crimson Tide"& especially "Broken Arrow"are never far away from me,and getting through a day without humming that haunting, yet ultra-cool Baritone guitar riff from "Arrow" is impossible.Sometimes, when I walk into a mall or my job's front door,I hear it in my head and imagine it makes me look almost as cool walking as it did for Travolta or Cage."
The greatest film composer of all time! A man capable of producing any kind of music. But for me he will always be remembered for those THUMPING action scores. He inspires! Can't wait for Prince of Egypt!
I have loved his music since the first time I watched Driving Miss Daisy, and it has continued every since. Listen to the theme of the Toys soundtrack - Steve
I think he is one of the most tellented composers this centery.
I'm fourteen years old, with a little company of my own (well, I guess since 'company' implies profit, we're not one of these). I've been listening to Zimmer for about a year now since "The Rock" came out. That's what got me hooked on him, actually. It's weird, 'cause I'm the only one who likes movie music (and Zimmer) for miles around, I'm sure. I don't know anybody else who does, personally but I don't care If other people like him or not...as long as he keeps putting out CDs. Most recent of his I got was "Power of One". Good. I'm sure that this is what got him to score "The Lion King". I've e-mailed Hans, telling him about my home movie company and I asked him if I could use some of his music in my movies (I know, it's not like people are going to see it, but it's an excuse to email him.) If nothing else, his music is inspiring. I listen to it all the time, especially when I'm writing a script or figuring out what to film. JUST KEEP 'EM COMING, and I'LL BE HAPPY!
I am searching for soundtrack "The House of Spirits".It has been now almost
3 years.Can anybody help me ????
It is not on sale in Europe.I have searched in Germany,Holland and Turkey.
Thanks beforehand.
I think mr.Zimmers work is very enlighting and excellent. He is a true musician.
I love Hans Zimmers' work, especially the in The Rock and League of their Own. He knows just how to give people goosebumps!
Tis year my marchin band is programming "Burn IT All," from the movie
Backdraft. It is part of our "Fire Show".
It is the most difficult work I've ever attempted to put on a football field.
It should be interesting!
Last year we performed a "Lion King" show. I guess I am a die-hard fan!
This man RULES! There is no better. I just wanted to let it be known!!!
Nice page you've got going here. Some further names to be added in the
"Co-workers"-section:
Harry-Gregson Williams, Nick Glennie-Smith, Bruce Fowler, John Powell, John
van Tongeren to mention some...
I think that Hans is the greatest composer of our time. After "The Rock" and "Broken Arrow" soundtracks (ones I heard), I think he's the best. I just want to know where I could find some of his great work. Hardly any of the music stores around Fresno have even heard of him. Either that or I'm not checking hard enough.
Hans is a phenominal composer!
Hans Zimmer rulez!!!
Hans Zimmers komponierte Soundtracks, sind Klangerlebnise in hoechster
Vollendung.
'Cause: Just a picture with a Zimmer Score is a good picture!
Sollte ich jemals einen Film drehen, so kommt f¸r mich nur ein Komponist
in Frage: Hans Zimmer!

I have thoroughly enjoyed soundtrack compositions for a long time. Hans Zimmer has come to be a most dynamic scorer of film music. I look forward to each and every score he produces. I hope he does not burn out to soon!
hi again.
does anyone know who wrote the music to
the Black Stallion Returns and/or where
I can get a copy of it?
Hans Zimmer is the best
I am looking for the score to Muppet Treasure Island. I need the Opening Theme and Shiver My Timbers. Does anyone know how or where I can get these?
All right, all right: homage to Hans Zimmer.
His music is gut wrenching; I admit it.
But please forgive me this blasphemy:
Why can't I find a Basil Poledouris worship page?
Even as often as I find myself humming parts of
Backdraft, it's the Conan the Barbarian soundtrack
that never fails to knock me off my feet.
How cool was the music from the Lion King !!!
This man's music just blows me away
What a dude
A truely talented composer !!
Hmmm... well I guess that I have a great admiration for such a talented composer. I study at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and most of the composers we are exposed to are classical C20th composers like Xenakis, Berio, Nono, Ligeti etc We don't have enough access to film scores etc, and film composers are rarely, if not ever discussed. I am however very interested in entering this field of composition and I would like to study with someone like Zimmer, who is one of my favourite composers. I wonder if this is possible ???
I think that Hans Zimmer compose just great music, I think his best soundtrack is "The Rock". Genious music to a great movie.
I think Zimmer is the best composer in the business (but of course). I credit The Power of One with inspiring my love of film scores. His passionate music is the only one that can move me, every time. His movies are the ones I watch over and over again for the music, if I don't have the CD. Feel free to visit my score page at: http://members.aol.com/songvision/scores.html
Listen to Green Card!
I love being surrounded by his music internally, is like walking into a dream that will never come true.
I just watched "The Peacemaker". The soundtrack knocked me out. I loved the urgency and the fullness of the score. I saw that it was composed by Hans Zimmer. I am now a big fan!
Hey, just say hello to him.
i would like to say that Hans is a verry gifted person. and i love his
music. I own about 15 of his scores, and i am still looking for the house
of spirits. thankyou
phil
vorrei avere la discografia completa
saluti
My favorite song that Hans has composed is "Your so Cool" from the True
Romance soundtrack. I love the sound and mix. Does anyone know where I can
find the same sounding music? Please help!!!! It is for someone special.
Hello, Zimmer's fans,
1)I would like to know when I can find the disc with the music
from "Burning secret" and "Paperhouse" (on Internet).
2) I would like to know about the music from "The Rock"
which tracks are by Nick Glennie-Smith, by Hans Zimmer and
by Harry Gregson-Williams,
Thanks
I know that you all love Hans for the same reasons I do. His music evokes amazing responses right from the heart. I have, as some of you may, been moved to tears at the heart-breaking themes such as Backdraft, received chills while listening to "Roll Tide" from Crimson Tide, and felt the soul of Africa in "The Lion King." I just wanted to say that I am glad that I am not alone in recognizing his unbelievable talent and would like to thank him for making music that touches people in such a uniquely brilliant way.
I love film scores, and i'd just like to say that Hans Zimmer is the greatest of them all!
I just love every piece of work by Hans Zimmer. No composers music has touch me since Tchaicovsky except Hans Zimmer.
You did a great job! I was bored and though I'd drop you a line.
You should give me a call sometime and when your in town.
My interest began almost a decade ago with the music from the movie "Black
Rain". I fell in love with his style of orchestrating music immediately.
I have followed his work to his latest "As Good As it Gets."
I have bought all of his CD's that he composed and I'm pleased the most
with "The Peacemaker." The score is deep with emotion, it portrays to me
the grief and understanding of how and why some people do what they do.
I am not a terrorist, so dont freak out, I just like how the music characterizes
one's emotions without actually saying it. It is in the music.
I wish to compose someday. I am taking piano lessons now,hey it's a start,
and actually would use my talents if that ever comes to be, to describe
my emotions and views through music as Zimmer has so tastefully done.
