Hello,
may i know is there any difference between this 2 cds by
Hans Zimmer??
K2 ( the one whose cover pic is a ski man )
music inspired by the movie K2 ( the one whose cover pic is a snowy mountain )
anyone knows? thanks for your help.
Hi everyone,
I just stumbled onto this site....I've been enjoying Zimmer's music for several years now and have bought many of his soundtracks, but am not as informed as I'm sure many of you are. I'd really appreciate any help you could give me with these two questions:
1) Is the score of The Rock available on a disc beides the soundtrack. I ask because I was recently at an event where they played a medley of sorts from this score and I heard some electric and acoustic sounding guitar parts that aren't on the soundtrack CD!
2) Is the days of thunder score available anywhere? I read part of it was available on a Zimmer/Mancina collaboration disc....is this true?
Many thanks for your help!
All the best,
Jack.
Hi everyone.
I was perusing through my local CD store lately, and saw this incredibly dodgy compilation CD called "Music from the films of Tom Cruise" or something like that. It was by Silva Screen. Anyway, it had one track from Days of Thunder- "Main Tile/ Car Building," and i think it is performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. I did not buy it due to its tackiness, but I think it is the same recording as that you will find at Chris "Yumbos's" Real Audio download page.
Hope this helps to those deprived of Days of Thunder.

"You're So Cool" is the vibraphone/marimba/xylophone-played main theme of the movie "True Romance". Does anyone out there have the lead sheet...chords and melody? Please send me an email at drums@ix.netcom.com if you have it or know where it can be found.
Thanks,

There will be a separate score release of Armageddon according to Bruckheimer!Check out the Movietunes BUZZ! to know more.
Hi !
I've got an original copy of Regarding Henry up for auction at
http://home.ifkw.de/~usperl/soundtracks/auction.htm
So, if anyone's interested please take a look.
Cheers
Uwe
Trevor Rabin is doing the composing the music for Armageddon.
Yes.....bad boys was simpson and bruckhiemer. in fact, it's the film that re-ignited their careers
That one track 'd better be 30 minutes long or so (I know it isn't), cos when I heard the opening titles from the Glimmerman from Rabin, I really liked it. It was extreme good.
BTW, was Bad Boys a Bruckheimer prod.?
sorry, but zimmer did not compose the score to Armegedddon. That task went to Trevor Rabin who has a sort of Zimmer style. Regardless, it should be good, but the soundtrack only reatures one track of score.
Hey all, ultra Hans Zimmer fan here. If you look in the past at all Bruckheimer movies mostly either Zimmer of Mancina has done the music. Example: Crimson Tide=Zimmer, Bad Boys=Mancina, The Rock=Zimmer, Con Air=Mancina. Are you seeing a patter here? What does this mean. Did Hans Zimmer do Armageddon? If he does I can't wait. It would be sheer awesomeness!!!@#!@#!!$#! So if anybody knows, pleeeeeese! tell me. I'm dying to know.
I'm thinking Aspen Extreme......
I recently had watced a movie about 2 skiers who came from a small town and eventually went pro... for some odd reason he soundtrack was definitely zimmer....in fact the one track was the theme to days of thunder.....if anyone knows the title of the movie..please e-mail...
Any Hans Zimmer soundtrack is a good one. If you aren't sure of buying this one, some other great Zimmer works are Backdraft, Crimson Tide, the Lion King, As Good As it Gets, and if you like orchestral heavy metal, the Rock.
Greetings!
Does anyone know if a score was released for the movie "Romeo + Juliet" which came out a couple years ago? I believe I heard some of the score in one of the "X-Files: Fight the Future" trailers.
I know two soundtrack albums were released, and I'm not sure if they're both completely pop music albums, or if at least one of them is a mix of score and song. Can anyone fill me in?
Thanks for your time, and I would appreciate a reply via e-mail as I don't check this webpage nearly as often.

Why did I use that for a message subject is quite clear. Well, I wrote to Hans. I'm awaiting an answer now. Don't even try to get his address from me, I won't say a word. OK to that one guy looking for Mother Africa translation, I've emailed a certain someone to find out what it all means. When she emails it to me, you all will know. I've surveyed the unanswered Hans Questions and have one thing to say, some of you people are nuts! You were asking some of the silliest questions I know. One guy, (obviously gay) was asking Hans how long his (can't say it, guys should know this) blank was and everything. That archive is 118 pages long! But, I've told Hans in my mail that I want to help him answer the questions he has yet to answer. Well, on another agenda, people, I want to say that there is written music to the Lion King. I will go now and seek out the address to it. Ok?

In my opinion, Toys is a terrific soundtrack. I thought it was really strange when it first came out back in '92, but it seems like today's music has normalized it quite a bit. Maybe it was a trend setter.
Since its release Tori Amos and Seal have become quite popular, so it is nice to hear them on the cd. Zimmer's sound is apparent in almost every track although he is credited for them. For instance, Zimmer does not get one shred of credit for the Battle Mix track even though his themes are woven into it.
If it is cheap, go ahead and buy it. I like it alot. Also, it is a good Xmas cd. "Closing of the Year" and "Let Joy and Innocence Prevail" are worth the price right there. Just skip the Thomas Dolby track.
Don't blame me if you hate it....it is just my opinion.

Based on Doug's comments, I picked up this soundtrack for a self-evaluation...and Doug is right! There is some excellent cello and string score on this CD, pieces of which are very reminiscent of Zimmer. Personally, the tracks composed by Burkhard Dallwitz appeal more to me than those of Phillip Glass. Not having seen the movie yet, I find it a bit difficult to imagine exactly how this type of score will support my vision of this movie. In any event, a definite recommendation!
Hello, i'm looking for the Hans Zimmer/Mark Mancina Collaberation(Follow Your Dreams) boot.CD. I'm most interested in a CD-R copy of the CD,(I don't care about
value of the original, though it would be nice to have, I'm most interested in the music itself) if anyone can help, please let me know!! thanks.
Hi everyone.
Recently I saw "Toys" really cheap, so I was wondering if I should get it or not. Some review sites think it's not that good so I decided to turn the Zimmer "people" (you) and see what you think.
Anyway, I went to Mediaventures, got the Wav file for it and was pleasantly surprised by this lovely female vocal- it sounded very classical. Is this included on the soundtrack, and if so, does the rest hold up as a good listening experience?
Thanks.
Help! Does anyone out there know where I can obtain a musical or vocal score of Mother Africa and Mother Africa reprise? This track is from the Soundtrack of THE POWER OF ONE. I really want the words and an English translation/interpretation. I HAVE TRIED FOR YEARS to obtain it but it seems that dear Hans does not write his music down! Can anyone help???
Sorry to clutter up the board with another -almost- duplicate message. That's because I left out some crucial words in the original!
Well, I watched the tonys and Hans didn't win. At least he was nominated.
Here's the nom,
For Best Score:
Elton John, Tim Rice, Julie Taymor, Mark Mancina, Lebo M, and Hans Zimmer for the Lion King.
In case you wanted to know, Ragtime won the award.
Also, Lebo M fans, attention Lebo M fans. It is time to reunite and come together for a fan club. If at all posible email his publicist or me to join.
Thanks.

Hello!
I am looking for a track by Hans Zimmer, which is also on the first "Space Night" CD from Bavarian Television. The track is called ".../The Road" and I would like to know, which soundtrack this is from.
Thanx
Jane,
Check this website for the translation.

I hope this is what you wanted.
Have a nice day.

Hello fellow Zimmer fans!
Just thought I would let you know about the Truman Show soundtrack. If you love Zimmer, I think you would love this cd.
It is by a new guy, Burkhard Dallwitz, and a well known guy, Phillip Glass. The use of synthesizer and the scores unique sound makes this one a keeper in my opinion. I absolutely love it. Kinda sounds like a cross between Zimmer and Jan Hammer. I guess b/c the director wanted a soundtrack that was a cross between a movie score and a tv score. The movie is great too.
BTW, Is there any word if there will be a score only soundtrack for Armeggedon? I hope to god there is.
Doug
No score album from Days Of Thunder was ever released. Sorry, but you may have to search forever, with no luck, 'cause Hans is NOT interested in releasing it. A few tracks are available on bootlegs or single records, (Car Building, Days Of Thunder Suite (3:01 or something) and Cole & Claire) but they are hard to find.
This is arguably Hans' most requested score that is not available.
Jon
I desperately want a copy of the Days of Thunder soundtrack that Hans did. If you know where I can get one or if you want to sell your copy, let me know. I am willing to pay good money for it!!!
It means "What have we done?"
Alicia
PS: Did you guys know that Hans got nom. for a Tony? Hope he wins!
Can anybody give me some info on the Broadway show album of the Lion King.Does it have new Zimmer/Mancina score not available on the regular album,If so,does it have dialogue over it,is the score good, how long it is?
Thanks!
Why not have a listen to ROBIN HOOD PRINCE OF THEIVES.
BRAVEHEART, CLIFFHANGER, STARWARS they're all top bananas!!!!!!

Don't you mean "You're so cool" from the True Romance soundtrack?
Does anyone have a copy or know where I may get one of a song called "So Cool"? I heard it in a show called The Hunger(the episode was titled "The Sword") and Zimmer was credited. I would be grateful to whoever may be able to help me. Also does anyone have a copy or know where I can get a copy of "Scrooged" and "Nothing In Common"?
Hi there. does anyone know the definition of senzenina? It is the title to a song on The Power of One. thanks much.
I am looking for the phoenetic spelling and translation of chant at the beginning of the song.
Thank You
Jane
Regarding the African chant immediately preceding the song. I am looking for the origin, exact translation, and phonetic spelling of the chant immediately preceding the Circle of life. I would appreciate any information on this.
Thank you.
